Project Overview

As part of the International Central Gospel Church’s (ICGC) commitment to sustainability, designed its new headquarters Christ Temple East to accommodate solar as a renewable source of energy to support its operations with reliable and affordable clean energy. The church building consists of 6000-seater auditorium, conference rooms and offices. With the church’s commitment to sustainability, the facility was designed to accommodate solar which was particularly important to provide stable, reliable and affordable power to the facility to support its operations and live streaming church services to over 130,000 members across the country.

RIFE Solutions

We provided the client with a turnkey EPC solution which included design, installation and financing through a funding partner. The solution was developed on a lease-to-own repayment plan that will enable the client pay for the project over time while saving cost on energy.

RIFE International office in Ghana designed and installed a 500kW rooftop solar system for the Christ Temple East Church of the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC) in Ghana. The 500kW solar system comprise of (1,238) 540W solar panels, (18) 25kW inverters and an automated control for managing energy supply and synchronization between grid electricity, solar and diesel generator, and monitoring system. This system is designed to help the church significantly reduce energy cost, provide uninterrupted power supply and provide clean energy saving 6,512 tons of CO2 over the project life span.
