RIFE International Founder and CEO, Kwabena Osei-Sarpong, was recognized in a virtual awards ceremony on Wednesday, November 18, 2020, by The Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) for his work as a leading clean energy and energy efficiency professional. Presented with the award for “Region II Energy Innovator of the Year,” Osei-Sarpong has led and executed an extensive number of energy efficiency, clean energy, and sustainable development solutions through his successful company, RIFE International, in both the domestic and international markets.
As a subject matter expert on clean energy, energy efficiency, and building emissions reduction, Mr. Osei-Sarpong has established a reputation for excellence in energy innovation, and as a result, his company has completed work for an impressive list of high-profile clientele in the United States and Africa. In addition to his work through RIFE International, Mr. Osei-Sarpong serves on several advisory boards in the United States and overseas, including Africa Utility Week, where he has been a featured speaker over the last few years in leading innovative energy interventions in Africa. He has also been called upon to provide subject matter expertise to the United States Council on Environmental Quality of the Executive Office of the President.
The Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) was founded in 1977 with over 18,000 members throughout 100 countries and Mr. Osei-Sarpong is humbled to be presented with this award. He has been the recipient of the Washington Business Journal’s 40 under 40 and Apex Society’s 30 under 30 awards, and he remains committed to serving as an innovation catalyst for energy efficiency and sustainable construction within the United States and abroad.
