RIFE International powered by a grant award from FedEx and the US Department of Commerce, participated in the Trade Winds Southeast Europe forum in Bucharest, Romania in October 2017. Held at the Hilton Hotel, this Trade Winds forum focused on connecting businesses to emerging opportunities in southeastern European markets. The forum’s organizer, Trade Winds, is the largest annual U.S. Government-led trade mission, connecting U.S. companies and organizations to business and government leaders in some of the world’s most promising markets.
The forum was sponsored and attended by a variety of businesses, including CitiBank, Raytheon, Microsoft, IBM, Kestral, Alexandrion Group, BCIU, FedEx, Jerry’s Pizza, AECOM, and Louis Berger among others. The forum included commerce representatives from the U.K., Germany, Spain, Romania, Greece and other European countries. The Trade Winds conference provided ample opportunity for gathering market intelligence, business matchmaking through networking and developing business connections in new markets. RIFE was able to build several international development relationships and partnerships with European companies to do business in Africa. RIFE also opened new avenues to pursue business in Romania.
