RIFE International, powered by a grant award from PROEXCA Canary Island Government, participated in Africagua 2017 organized by the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) Canarias Consortium, Canary Islands, in November 2017. Held at the AC Hotel Gran Canaria, this international business forum focused on connecting businesses to emerging opportunities in the Canary Islands and the surrounding region. AFRICAGUA featured a full timetable of workshops, roundtables and presentations providing a thorough grounding in the fundamentals of water and renewable energy in Africa, as well as real- world case studies and examples of best practices, in order to fully prepare participants to be successful.
The purpose of this forum and trade mission was to assist U.S. firms in the energy, environmental technologies, industrial equipment and supplies, infrastructure and logistics sectors with finding partners from the Canary Islands and other regions of Spain to sell products and services in West Africa. The forum also helped participants learn about the advantages of setting up a Canary Islands’ operation to pursue opportunities in West Africa.
“This conference has resulted in the development of service partnerships that have already led to opportunities for our organization. We truly enjoy being part of this mission,” stated Kwabena Osei-Sarpong, president and CEO.
