RIFE International proudly joined the Albrecht High School Fellowship session, “Leveraging Technology as a Catalyst for Change,” hosted at Open Works Baltimore. The event gave high school students a powerful platform to explore how technology can solve real-world problems and uplift communities.
Driving Community Change Through Technology
Our CEO, Kwabena Osei-Sarpong, spoke with the Fellows about RIFE International’s mission to advance sustainable development through innovative, tech-driven solutions. He shared how we have implemented clean energy infrastructure in Ghana and led community revitalization projects in Baltimore, all grounded in purposeful innovation.
Kwabena explained how we use smart technologies and data-driven strategies to expand energy access, modernize infrastructure, and strengthen community resilience. He emphasized that technology is not just a tool for efficiency. It is a force for equity, empowerment, and transformative change.

Inspiring the Next Generation
The session introduced students to real-life applications of innovation, from environmental sustainability to inclusive development. Through open discussion and practical insights, Kwabena encouraged students to pursue careers in STEM, clean energy, and social entrepreneurship.
He also highlighted the importance of ethical innovation, collaborative action, and local leadership as pillars of lasting impact. The students left inspired and equipped with new ideas to drive change in their own communities.
