RIFE International was recently awarded an energy performance contract by the General Services Administration (GSA) to furnish and install new exterior LED lighting and controls at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) – Satellite Operations Facility located in Suitland, Maryland. The scope of work involves replacing over 200 existing fixtures with new, energy-efficient LED lighting in the parking garage, loading dock, surface parking lot, and areas surrounding the building’s signage. This project is slated to begin in May 2018 and is projected to result in over $350,000 in energy savings in its first 10 years with a payback of 5 years. PEPCO rebate incentives will be applied to offset a portion of the total project cost once the scope of work has been completed and accepted by GSA & NOAA.
